hive profileBlissbug is operated by Blissbug In Chief, Ariane, but it’s truly a family affair.

Our darling logo and product labels were designed by my super-talented sister, Martine — check out her design business and her cool site about yoga in Paris, Yogateau.

My sweetheart of a husband tends bees with me, at home and at his business, Out of the Woods Custom Cabinetry.

My parents, who eat altogether too much jam, provide dozens and dozens of jars that we hyper-clean and re-use for honey.

None of this would be possible without my family, my friends, my many teachers. And that includes the bees themselves, of course!

What We Care About

Blissbug is organic: 100%! We use no chemicals on our farm or hives ever and use only organic ingredients in our balms, salves and candles.

Blissbug is small-batch and small foot-print: Production is limited by the success of our bees in any given season, and by our concern for their on-going well-being and sustainability. Honey and wax are harvested via no-tech crush ‘n drain method. Wax is rendered and melted via solar oven. Thanks, sun!

Blissbug is reusable & recyclable: products are packaged in containers designed to be re-used, re-filled or recycled.

Blissbug is part of the solution: We love bees and support larger efforts to better understand and protect them. A portion of every sale is donated to Project Apis m., a non-profit that funds and directs research to enhance the health & vitality of honey bee colonies.

I received my bee products…… Yay!!!!. The lip balm is soothing and no funky taste like “root beer”. The hand salve is my favorite. The lemongrass fragrance is just right. Also, it is not greasey.

    Thank you busy bee
